Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 67 of the coronaviruses have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. This brings the total number of people recovering from the virus to 102,268 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 368 new cases were recorded that tested positive in laboratory tests for the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, noting the death of 11 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid stated that the total number that has been registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of today, Thursday, is 114,475 cases, including 102,268 cured cases and 6,596 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation regarding the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry also has assigned a number of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases.
