Today Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 708 people in recovery from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of who have recovered from the virus to 88,666 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 128 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 17 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that has been recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of today, Saturday, is 101,900 cases, including 88,666 cured cases and 5,750 deaths.
