Today Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 903 people in recovery from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 77,208 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 130 new cases were registered that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 16 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Saturday is 99,712 cases, including 77,208 cured cases and 5,511 deaths.
