Nestlé Egypt announced, during a statement today, Monday, the suspension of work in one of its factories, after the discovery of positive cases of the emerging Corona virus “Covid 19”.

The company said: “In the interest of Nestlé Egypt, for the safety and health of workers, it was decided to temporarily suspend production operations inside the dry materials factory in the city on October 6 after there were positive cases of Covid-19 “.

He added that all the necessary measures were taken in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Preventive Medicine and all other relevant authorities and that he is in continuous communication with the Ministry of Health to implement sterilization and disinfection operations in the factory, provided that production resumes as soon as possible.

The company stated that since the beginning of this pandemic and in line with the state’s guidance, the company adheres to strict standards of sterilization, hygiene, and disinfection, and is taking additional steps to improve security in its factories, offices, and facilities. of distribution.

She indicated that she is also interested in applying the rules of social separation firmly between all employees and workers in the company’s factories, wearing face masks and constantly sterilizing their hands, and providing all the necessary medical and preventive supplies for workers to guarantee their safety and reduce the possibility of injury.

The company confirmed its commitment to take the necessary precautionary measures in accordance with instructions from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, as well as instructions from Nestlé International, and that it will continue this commitment at all its locations.

She indicated her total concern for the safety of her products and the application of the highest international standards of safety, quality and safety in all her factories, explaining that she was interested in guaranteeing the continuity of production in her other factories.

The company said its priority is to provide safe products, as the European Food Safety Authority has confirmed that there is no risk of contracting the virus through packaged food and drinks.
