Tarek Mostafa, the current coach of the Egyptian national team, asked the Zamalek club management to sell the team’s forward, Mostafa Mohamed, for financial gain.
The former Zamalek star added, in remarks on MBC Egypt, “Zamalek could benefit financially by selling Mostafa Mohamed and getting a material return of between 150 million and 200 million pounds.”
He continued: “Zamalek is a great club and does not represent a player, and Mustafa Mohamed wants to go out for professionalism and is the only player capable of contributing this amount.”
He continued: “The sale of Mostafa Mohamed will now help Zamalek to renew contracts for players like Ashraf Bencharki, Ferjani Sassi and Youssef Obama.”
Regarding the situation of Jimmy Pacheco, current Zamalek coach, he replied: “Pacheco is going to walk, either now or later.”
Mustafa Mohamed was among the interests of several European clubs during the recent summer transfer period, spearheaded by the Turkish team Fenerbahce, but Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek at the time, asked the player to focus on the African Champions League. and to be allowed to leave after that.
For his part, Jimmy Pacheco, the current Zamalek coach, comes under pressure after losing the African Champions League title to rivals Al-Ahly, in addition to leaving the semi-finals of the Egyptian Cup after defeating Al-Jaysh Al -Jaysh with a goal of three last Tuesday night.
