Eid Marazeeq, technical director of the National Bank of Egypt, said he rejects the role of the second man on the coaching staff of any club, noting that he wants to lead the Egyptian team.

Marazeeq managed to lead the National Bank team to qualify for the Egyptian Premier League championship after a season of climbing to the second division.

During radio remarks for the “Falcon Stadium” program, Marazeeq said: “I congratulate all the players and members of the board of directors for their first promotion to the Egyptian Premier League.”

He added: “I am going to hold a session with the club president to discuss the next steps and the needs of the team in the next season. We will put a special vision for the Premier League, especially because it needs great capacities. We do not want to relegate again “.

He continued: “I took on the coaching position 12 years ago. I have hopes and ambitions, and I want to lead the Egyptian team, as it is a legitimate ambition for me, and I reject the role of second man.”

Regarding the club’s association with former goalkeeper Ism El-Hadary, he said: “These matters are for the board of directors, and there is nothing official about his presence with us next season, either as a coach or as a player.” .
