The South African Pitso Mosimane, one of the factors that decided Al-Ahly Club for the championship of the African Champions League at the expense of Zamalek.
Al-Ahly beat their traditional rival Zamalek, 2-1, to win the CAF Champions League for the ninth time in their history, to consolidate their record as the most champion crowned champion.
Al-Ahly hired Musimane last October to succeed Swiss Reine Weiler.

The South African coach thanked Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of the Al-Ahly Club, for giving him the opportunity to coach the Century Club in Africa after the match, and also thanked the Al-Ahly fans, who supported him strongly.
Musimani confirmed that the Al-Ahly players had a strong character during the match, especially that they faced a strong opponent, noting that he led the players between the two halves; To emphasize the need for better performance, which helped Zamalek to decline.
The South African coach previously won the CAF Champions League in 2016 with the Sun Downs team and it was at the expense of Zamalek, making the Whites the favorite victim of the South African coach.
Al-Ahly will compete in the African Super Cup next December against the Moroccan Confederation champion, Nahdet Berkane, and will then compete in the Club World Cup matches next February.
