Musimane: We reached the final, but we didn’t win the cup

Petso Mosimane, coach of the Al-Ahly club, confirmed that his team must complete what it started in the CAF Champions League by winning the title at the end.

Musimani indicated in a video statement posted by Al-Ahly Club on social media, that he is working to implement his method and philosophy, but needs more time.

Musimane said: “Wydad’s match was difficult, but we won after a good job, especially in Morocco, and we have to finish what we started here at home.”

He continued: “The good thing is that we scored goals early, either in Morocco or in Cairo as well.”

He added: “Currently we are waiting for the team that will face us in the final, but things are still difficult. We only reached the final, but we did not win the cup.”

He added: “The fans have to be patient, I’m trying to apply my philosophy and the way I play with the team, I see an improvement in performance and we will need more time, but now we don’t have enough for ourselves.”

He concluded: “Next season I will work to improve performance even more, in the end I am new here and I am working to improve performance, so we have to be patient.”
