Books – Muhammad Mustafa:

Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane confirmed that Alio Badji’s change at the start of the second half was a planned change, and not because of injury, during the team’s clash with Pyramids.

Badji replaced Mahmoud Kahraba in the 12th minute of the match due to injury, in the match that ended negatively without goals, within the 33rd round of the league competition.

Musimani said in remarks during the post-game press conference that Al-Ahly loses one player in every game, either through suspension or injury.

The Al-Ahly coach added: “Against Pyramids Saabi, we suffered negative points in the first half such as missing a penalty, injuring Mahmoud Kahraba and sending off Amr Al-Soliya”, indicating that the planned commitment of the players helped to overcome numerical scarcity.

He continued: “The Pyramids team is stronger than the two rivals we faced during the previous two games, and we did not concede any goals during the three games.”

And he expressed the frustration of his team for not scoring a goal from the opportunities created by the team, but added: “Creating opportunities and missing is better than not creating opportunities in the opponent’s goal.”

On Afsha, Musimani said: “Unfortunately he missed a penalty kick, but Ronaldo, Messi, Maradona and all the best players are wasting penalty kicks. I was expecting him to score his shot that hit the post, but I talked to him after the game because I felt frustrated”.

Musimani congratulated Raja after winning the Moroccan League.
