Mortada Mansour confirmed that there are great pressures facing Zamalek during the last period, and that he played a role in his team’s failure in the African Champions League final against Al-Ahly.

In a video clip broadcast on YouTube, Mansour referred to his demand for the intervention of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to lift what he described as “injustice” of the Zamalek club.

Murtado said: “The Zamalek club is hit by an act of action, and I don’t know why. Is this our crime? Because we managed to include the best players? Because we are crowned with three or four tournaments every season?”

He continued: “I call on the President of the Republic to intervene. I know there is pressure on the Minister of Sports, but I love him. I have no problem dissolving the Council, but the important thing is that Khatib is happy.”

He added: “Oh, President of the Republic, the wrong things are happening and the masses are very angry. There are conspiracies, and today Ahmed Murtado could not attend the General Assembly of the Football Association. Who supports them?”

He concluded: “We endure it all because I know the country does not tolerate any chaos, but we must not provoke ourselves. The masses of millions are angry.”
