Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, revealed the most prominent names nominated to lead the white team to succeed French coach Patrice Carteron, who left to lead the Saudi cooperation.
Speaking to channel “Diez”, Mortada Mansour said: “Gross, Pacheco, Ferreira and Calderón are candidates to coach Zamalek. They have been presented to us and we studied many biographies, defects and characteristics of each coach.”
Patrice Carteron left Zamalek to contract the Saudi cooperation terminating the contract by paying the value of the White Club penalty clause, but Mortada Mansour denied having received the amount.
Mortada said: “Carteron is a liar, he did not pay the value of the penalty clause, as he said. He carried out a fraud against the Zamalek club, so the cooperation is satisfied?”
Hazem Fattouh, Carteron’s agent, had confirmed that Zamalek had to pay a month and a half salary ($ 127.5 thousand) for the French coach, and that the value of the penalty clause was ($ 170,000), so Patrice only paid $ 42.5 thousand.
The president of Zamalek continued: “Carteron fled before paying the penalty clause, but Zamalek was a civilized club that did not kidnap the coach until he paid him the money he owed and allowed him to leave.”
Mortada Mansour continued: “The traitor Carteron joined the Saudi Cooperation Club in Qatar, and the president of the Saudi club will be held responsible because he is affiliated with a respectable country that will not allow what happened.”
Mortada Mansour concluded: “We will not hire an Egyptian coach to succeed Carteron, although the training is not chemistry, but the circumstances surrounding the Egyptian coach cause his failure, and the public is patient with the foreigner, unlike the Egyptian.” .
