The Moroccan Ministry of Health asked Raja not to travel to Cairo to face Zamalek next Saturday in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
And 9 cases of Corona appeared in Raja’s team, including 8 players in the team, which worsens the position of the Moroccan team before the second leg.
Raja lost the first leg at home with an earned goal, but absences for the match will double in the rematch if it is not postponed.
The Moroccan newspaper, The National Team, published a statement from the Ministry of Health, which demanded that all members of the Raja team be quarantined until October 27.
The Moroccan health decision is due to the fact that the Raja players and members of the coaching staff are in contact with Corona cases that appeared in the team, fearing that the virus will spread further.
According to the Moroccan health statement, Raja’s team will undergo medical examinations on October 27 before allowing the team to come out of quarantine and ensure everyone’s safety.
The African Football Confederation will decide on the issue of the rematch, which was scheduled for next Saturday, October 24 at the Cairo Stadium.
