Monaco celebrated their victory over Paris Saint-Germain with two unanswered goals in the match that brought them together last night, Sunday, in the French League.
Monaco was invited to the “Parc des Princes”, the stronghold of Paris Saint-Germain, on matchday 26 of “Ligue 1”.
Sofiane Diop led the way in the sixth minute of the game, after a cross from the left wing was greeted by Robin Agiar with a magnificent header off his colleague, who hit it directly into the net.
Guillermo Maripán scored the second goal in the 51st minute of the game after a fatal error by the Paris Saint-Germain defense, and hit the ball beautifully against the right post.
After the game, Monaco celebrated the victory over Paris (3-2) and back (2-0) during this season, and mocked Barcelona, who lost 4-1 to the Parisian club at Camp Nou in the first leg of matchday 16 of the Champions League.
The Monaco account wrote a message to Barcelona saying: “If you need advice, write to us.”
The Barcelona account did not respond to Monaco’s tweet, but it sparked a flurry of interactions on social media.
It is worth noting that Monaco raised its score to point 52 in fourth place in the table, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain by 54 points in third place and four points behind leader Lille.
