The Professional Players Association of England announced the short list of players nominated for the best player award in the 2019-2020 season, and champion Liverpool dominated the competition, and 4 players from the Reds ranks entered the list, not including to Mohamed Salah, the player of the national team, against the expectations of the fans.
The British website BBC stated that the short list published by the Association of Professional Players in England for the Best Player Award in the Association of Professional Footballers of England for the 2019-2020 season included six players, including four from Liverpool.
