In a horrified voice, Farida Ramadan, formerly known as “Muhammad Ramadan”, spoke about the journey to seek her identity, which was established after many years. It is true that the fiftieth lady was able to get rid of the man imprisoned within her body and became a woman with all functions, but the Ministry of Education does not want to recognize “Farida”, and “Muhammad” remained in the official newspapers, for what did not receive their financial dues.

North of Damietta, Farida worked as an Arabic teacher for more than 13 years, but after gender change surgery, she was fired.

“Farida” said, via the “Al-Hekaya” program on MBC Egypt, that she had suffered from health conditions that forced her to undergo sex reassignment surgery due to her illness. .

She added: “I did the sexual correction and I am still looking for my file, which is named after Muhammad Ramadan, so that I can go back to my job or receive a pension for the period I worked, but I have not yet been able to access the file.” .

Farida sent a message to the Minister of Education, after knocking on all the doors, saying: “I am ill and I am receiving treatment, and there are reports of my medical condition, and I have no choice but to go to the operation.” He paused for a moment, then continued: “I want to go back to my job or at least get my financial contributions, which help me to live, because I continued to live on God from foreign aid.”

“Farida” also wants to collect her financial fees for the period she worked as a teacher in the Damietta governorate. He explained: “A student, two needs that I deserve from the Minister of Education and an apartment, God willing, a room and a hall.”

Farida added: “Now he has settled in Buhaira governorate, and I went through health conditions that forced me to undergo female sexual reassignment surgery for my illness … and I was working in a school and until now and since I underwent the conversion process, I have not returned to my work. “

And about the most difficult thing he went through to prove his identity after sexual correction, he said: “The head of the civil registry of our country in the country sat down to say (Why are you wearing that, Muhammad?), And Treat me like a man, and if it weren’t for him to guide me and understand the situation, the matter wouldn’t have happened to me, I told him. (If you want to reject the file, I will reject it) ».

He indicated that he has become a normal person and wants to get married, and said: “Now I can get married normally … and the state recognizes me as a woman.”

Conservation response

Damietta Governor Dr. Manal Awad said she is following up on Farida Ramadan’s issue, adding that the Education Directorate will contact Farida and work to resolve her issues.

She indicated, through a telephone intervention in the same program, that she had asked the Director of the Directorate of Education for the work file for the memo, which was in front of her, in preparation for her return to work again.

Available with strict rules

The World Health Organization defines gender identity disorder as “a gender inconsistency that leads to a marked and persistent contradiction between a person’s gender identity based on one’s own experience and the other specific to it.”

Recently, an expert from the World Health Organization said that he concluded that “transgender has nothing to do with mental health”, which is why it has been crossed out from the chapter on mental health disorders, according to him, “Because we have become more aware that this is not related to mental health.”

In Egypt, Dr. Amr El-Nagari, professor of plastic surgery at Qasr Al-Aini, said that sexual transformation in Egypt “is available, but according to strict legal rules.”

Al-Najari added, in previous television statements, that “4 conditions must be met to carry out the process of sexual transformation, the first of which is the approval of a medical committee of the Ministry of Health, the second is to carry out medical examinations and analyzes. that they demonstrate the ability to do so, and the third is the approval of specialists in psychiatry, and the fourth is the no objection of Dar Al Ifta In the change of sex ».

He continued: “4 conditions must be met to carry out the sexual transformation process, the first of which is the approval of a medical committee of the Ministry of Health, the second is to carry out medical examinations and analyzes that demonstrate the ability to do so, and the third is the approval of specialists in psychiatry, and fourth is that Dar al-Iftaa has no objection to the change of sex. “
