The Minister of Local Development also ordered the Operations and Crisis Management Room of the Ministry to monitor the evolution of the situation in the governorates 24 hours a day with the operating rooms of the governorates to quickly attend to any event of emergency in coordination with the Central Operations Room in the Council of Ministers.

Major General Mahmoud Shaarawi noted the importance of continued coordination and cooperation among all vital and service sectors in governorates, especially drinking water and sanitation companies, traffic departments, security and civil protection directorates, and highlighted that a set of recommendations and warnings was distributed to citizens in the governorates to ensure their safety and protection, in addition to the need to act with caution, caution and stay away from trees or advertising signs, lighting poles, high pressure and help rainwater suction carts to move easily and easily, avoid driving at high speeds in cars and keep a safe distance.

Major General Shaarawi highlighted the need for local leaders, including the heads of centers, cities, neighborhoods and local units, to be present on the streets throughout the day to follow up on the suction operations of water accumulations and concentration of Suction carts in places exposed to accumulations of water extraction speed to reduce the effects of heavy rains and not to interrupt the movement of traffic on the streets.

The minister called on citizens in governorates where weather conditions are bad and it is expected that the rain does not leave their homes, except in cases of need, to ensure their safety.

Major General Shaarawi added that the Ministry’s operations room is operating at full capacity and resolves any complaints related to rain in all governorates.
