The Italian club Milan announced the renewal of its contract with veteran Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic for one year, to continue with the Rossoneri until June 2021, and the club wrote in its statement: “Milan is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to renew Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract, extending the new contract with the Rossoneri until June 2021. “
Ibrahimovi continues his career at the San Siro, an adventure that began by winning the League and the Italian Cup in 2011.
Following a trip away from the club, the sultan returned in January and helped the club return to the European League by scoring 11 goals in 20 games. The 38-year-old will remain at the San Siro until next June.
The Swedish veteran joined his teammates and coach Stefano Pioli in Milan, where he did his first training session after the summer break.
Ibrahimovic arrived in Milan last Saturday, in order to sign his new contract with the Rossoneri, for a period of one year, after the two parties reached a final agreement, after long negotiations between them.
“I wanted to go home and now we can start working to achieve better results,” he said.
Superstar Rossoneri added: “As I have always said, I am not here to be the mascot, but to achieve results, to return Milan to where it should be, we have had a wonderful six months, but we have not won anything yet.”
“We have the opportunity now to work from the beginning and make sacrifices to achieve our goals,” he concluded. “I feel in good shape. I hope to see the fans in the stadium soon.”
Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reached a final agreement with Milan management to renew his contract, for a period of one season, and will receive an annual salary of 7 million euros.
