Ahmed Hossam Mido revealed a surprise related to this season’s CAF Champions League final, scheduled for November 6.
Al-Ahly had made it to the final of the African Champions League this season at the expense of Moroccan Wydad, while Zamalek will meet Moroccan Raja next Sunday in the second leg of the semi-finals.
“I have information that the security forces requested that the final of the African Champions League be postponed until November 9,” Mido said in his remarks on the Awdat al-Dress program he presents on Al-Nahar TV.
He added: “Security requested that the match be postponed to November 9 instead of November 6, and everyone is waiting for the official decision.”
And the Zamalek club’s first soccer team is close to qualifying for the final, with their first leg win over Moroccan Raja with an unanswered goal, Moroccan Ashraf Bin Sharqi scored, reflecting the possibility of facing Zamalek. with his counterpart Al-Ahly in the final of the African Champions League, which will be purely Egyptian if the white team qualifies.
