Books – Ayman Gilberto:

Ahmed Hosam “Mido”, former player and coach of Zamalek, and owner of the famous professional career in Europe with Tottenham, Ajax and Celta Vigo, responded to their criticism after his photo with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly, and Hassan Hamdi, former president of Al-Ahly.

Mido had been the target of a severe attack on various social media after he posted a photo of himself with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, and another with a group of people, including Hassan Hamdi and Faraj Amer.

“The basis of the work we do is to entertain people, and the latest in sport is that we hate each other, I don’t know what happened,” said Mido, through a video posted on his Twitter account.

He continued, “We didn’t get to that state one day, but this matter must end.”

He stressed: “I am a man, Zamalekawi, and I am proud of this and grew up in Zamalek, but Mahmoud al-Khatib is a legend. It is not a shame to shake his hand, talk to him and take a souvenir photo. Al- Khatib is a legend. “

He added: “I had a comment on some matters related to the Hassan Hamdi administration, and I said that Zamalek was bad at the time, but this does not mean not shaking hands or talking to him.”

“Does this mean that Hossam Ghaly or any Al-Ahly player saw Hassan Shehata, Farouk Jaafar or any symbol in Zamalek become a traitor?” He stated.

And she continued: “I am grateful that there are some fanatical people, but they should not reach this level, in the end we are all sisters and Egyptians, I am not anyone’s guardian, but we must become more rational.”

“Inside the stadium there must be competition and war to win, but outside the field things are different,” he stressed.

And he continued: “I will stay Zamalekawi until death, but that does not mean we hate each other. Omar has not reached that stage.”

He concluded: “I don’t want to mention names, but what led us to this intolerance we must forget about those days.”
