The Menoufia Governorate Criminal Court had ordered that Muhammad Othman, accused of killing his wife Manar Adel Al-Aqra, Al-Bagour’s girlfriend, who was murdered on the morning of Subhiya, be interned for two months in a hospital in mental illness under observation.
The defendant said in the investigations of the Prosecutor’s Office that his wife tried to kill him for not complying with the payment of the wedding dress rent, accusing his brother of hurting him in the stomach when he discovered that the bride was killed with the same knife, and he denied it during the psychiatrists’ examination, eluding them, claiming mental illness and that he was not responsible for his actions.
