“Meet the CV” … Major General Majdi Al Lawzi announces his candidacy for the presidency of the Football Association
Maj. Gen. Magdy Al Lawzi, former head of the Armed Forces Sports Authority, announced his intention to run for the presidency of the Egyptian Football Association in the upcoming elections.
FIFA had previously announced the appointment of a tripartite committee headed by Ahmed Mujahid, after thanking the Amr Al-Ganayni committee, to oversee the elections.
According to a press release, Majdi Al Lawzi announced his candidacy for the presidency of the Football Association in the upcoming elections.
Majdi Al-Lawzi said in his remarks through the press release that his aim is to support and develop Egyptian football, based on his track record of sporting achievements and the international tournaments he has achieved through his leadership in military sport.
Major General Al-Lawzi is scheduled to hold a press conference in the next term to announce the details of his candidacy.
Biography
Major General Al-Lawzi has held many football and sports positions and has extensive experience, including the position of Vice President of the Club Committee of the Egyptian Football Association.
– The position of former president of the Sports Authority of the Armed Forces, former member of the National Sports Council, member of the Board of Directors of the National Project of Sports Excellence, member of the Board of Directors of the Vanguards of the Army Club.
Founder of the Sports Championship Sector of the Armed Forces and its former president, former member of the sports committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, head of the Egyptian delegation to the International Council of Military Sports (Seism) for five years, vice president of the Federation Arab Military Sports, one of the branches of the bodies of the Arab League.
He has a bachelor’s degree in sports education in football with a very good grade, he has a doctorate in sports education science, he has a football refereeing course from the German Football Association during his sports mission in Germany, he participated as a committee member to draft the new sports law that was adopted by the Egyptian Parliament three years ago.
He holds a patent from the Academy for Scientific Research in the field of physical sport, has numerous sports management courses on missions in the Federal Republic of Germany, holds the First Class Sports Medal of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces 2016.
– Member of the Egyptian delegation to the Mediterranean Games 2012 in London, member of the Egyptian delegation to the Mediterranean Games 2013, member of the official delegation of the Olympic Games in China 2014, member of the official Egyptian delegation for the Olympic Games 2016 in Brazil.
– Head of the military team at the 2015 South Korean Olympic Games, in which the military team won the world handball championship.
Winner of the 2016 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Sports Innovation, and during his sports career he contributed to Egypt winning many international and international championships through his leadership in military sports.
