The journalist Nashat Al-Daihi, member of the Supreme Media Council and director of the channel “TEN”, issued a statement on his official page on the social network “Facebook” in response to the complaint by the Al-Ahly club against the program “Primo “broadcast by the channel.
Al-Daihi said in the statement: “At a time when we draw attention to the conspiracies that are brewing for us against the conscience of the Egyptians and manipulating the fundamentals of the nation by manipulating public opinion, and at a time in which we demand that all defend the supreme interest of the nation over their insignificant interests. “
At a time when we ask everyone to show wisdom and not exchange the feelings of the masses under any circumstances, we had to do what we say. We have chosen the difficult path, which is to stand in the trench of the homeland and endure and endure for the sake of so many, many difficulties.
Al-Daihi added: “From this point of view and in response to the statement issued by the Al-Ahly club, and carries a complaint about the sports program Primo broadcast on the TeN channel, where the complaint included that the program violates the statutes of the media and violates the organizational rules, and that the program and its host, Islam Sadiq and his permanent guest Majdi Abdul-Ghani, attack the club. Al-Ahly and its officials and leaders without justification and with the aim of demolishing the entity and destabilize it to the last of what was expressed in the statement, the following should be noted:
The TeN channel respects and values the former Al-Ahly club and its great fans, a respect commensurate with the national role of this great building.
– Al-Ahly Club is a national institution that cannot be destroyed, and no program or channel can break its foundations.
– The aforementioned program is produced by the channel, it is the sole owner of all its rights and it is not sold to anyone.
– The channel firmly believes that sports media have a great responsibility in controlling public performance, through objectivity in the treatment of football matters.
The channel is literally governed by all the laws and statutes that regulate the work of the media.
Al-Daihi explained: “Therefore, in a sense of national responsibility towards public affairs, the canal administration decided as follows:
1- Go to the direction of the Al-Ahly Club, to determine the events that occurred in the program and represent a deviation from the statutes and laws that govern the work to correct them from the beginning of the program to its date.
2- The channel’s management calls on the family of sports media in Egypt to work on the control and improvement of performance, and not to create a state of tension among the masses of Egyptian football.
3- Captain Magdy Abdel-Ghani did not appear on the channel’s screen.
The Al-Ahly club filed a complaint with the Supreme Council for Media Regulation against the satellite channel “Ten”, due to the Primo program presented by Islam Sadiq and his permanent guest, Majdi Abdul-Ghani, attacking the Al-Ahly club and its leaders and officials without justification, and on the line, according to the club’s statement.
