Lyon officially responds to Barcelona on the Depay deal

The French club Olympique Lyon responded in an official statement today, Saturday, October 3, to the Spanish club Barcelona about the latter’s negotiations with the star of the Dutch team, Memphis Depay.

French club Olympique de Lyon announced their final decision on whether to sell the team’s stars Hossam Awar and Memphis Depay in the current summer transfer period.

And Olympic Club Lyon confirmed that Hossam Awar and Memphis Depay remain with the team this season and will not move to any other club in the current period.

The press reports cited by the French club added that Hossam Aouar and Memphis Depay are attending the Lyon Olympic training today and will be on the list for the Olympique de Marseille match, to be played tomorrow Sunday, within the framework of the sixth week of the French league championship.

Spanish club Barcelona had entered into negotiations with Olympique de Lyon to include Dutch national team star Memphis Depay in the current summer transfer window, based on the wish of the Catalan club’s new manager, Ronald Koeman.

Hossam Awar was also associated with moving to the biggest European clubs in the Summer Mercato, notably Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
