And the Atlético de Madrid team announced in a statement yesterday, Wednesday, that it had signed a contract with Suárez, while Barcelona indicated in a separate statement that Atlético will pay six million euros in bonuses to join the Uruguayan international forward.
Suárez, 33, moved to Barcelona in 2014 from Liverpool, where he won 13 titles in Catalonia, including the European Champions League (2015), and the national league title four times, in 2015, 2016, 2018. and 2019.
Suárez ranks third on the list of best scorers in Barcelona’s history with 198 goals, behind César Rodrigues (232 goals), and the absolute star and Argentine Lionel Messi (634 goals).
