Liverpool excels in Bergamo and sweeps Atalanta for five cleans

In one of the best away games against Liverpool in the Champions League, the former English team managed to inflict a heavy defeat on their Italian host Atalanta with five unanswered goals on Tuesday, as part of matchday three of group four of Champions League competition.

The match was held in Bergamo, the bastion of the advanced and brilliant Italian team in recent times at the European level, and Liverpool hit hard from the first minutes when Diego Guetta scored two early goals in the 16th and 33rd minutes.

In the second half, “Egyptian King” Mohamed Salah scored the third goal in the 47th minute, equaling him with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, the team’s greatest player in the history of their participation in the Champions League, with 21 goals for both.

In the 49th minute, Senegalese Sadio Mané scored the England team’s fourth goal before Jota returned to the highly successful deal with Liverpool, scoring his third goal in the game and his fifth for the Reds in the 55th minute.

With this victory, Liverpool reached the ninth point, achieving the full score in three games, while Atalanta stayed at 4 points and fell to third place.

Within the same group, Dutch club Ajax snatched a difficult victory from their Danish host Mittelland with two goals to one, clinching their first group win and advancing to runner-up on goal difference against Atalanta.
