Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, confirmed that the ministry is trying to strike a balance between preserving members of the education system with the completion of the school year, noting that this balance is not easy.
He said: We sent the directorates a periodic book on the study and assessment system during the period from now until the end of the first semester, stating that our goal is to preserve students and we are concerned about the concern of parents.
The Minister of Education added: We have drawn up a set of decisions as follows:
– We will not count the remaining days of the first quarter into absent days, which means that schools will remain open and make-up groups will continue.
The study will continue in public schools until January 10, after which the exams will be prepared.
– Students from 4 primary students to 3 intermediate students will have written exams in commissions.
– First secondary students will take their exams online in committees.
The exams will not be replaced by assignments of any grade.
– If circumstances prevent school students from taking exams due to Corona, students will not be escalated for the next academic year.
– Require schools to familiarize students with the ways to access our School Channel 1 and School Channel 2 and to inform them of the schedules and schedules of the broadcast classes.
