Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League, “LaLiga”, confirmed that the transfer of Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah to Barcelona or Real Madrid next season will be difficult from an economic point of view.

Speaking to the fans of the third Ontime Sports program, Tebas indicated that according to the figures and statistics of the League, the Spanish League is more followed in the Middle East than its English counterpart.

Tebas said: “We lost 2 billion euros in the period when the fans were absent from the stadiums due to the Corona virus, we did not expect to play this many games without their presence.”

And he added: “If the rate of contagion with the Coronavirus continues to decrease, we are studying the return of fans to matches next May, at a rate of 10% to 20% of the stadium’s capacity.

And he added: “The possible departure of Lionel Messi from Barcelona and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid will not affect the massive following of the Clásico.”

He explained: “According to the figures, the Spanish League is the most popular in the Arab region, beating the English Premier League.”

And he added: “I think that the transfer of Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid or Barcelona will be difficult next summer, and it will also cost him to leave England because he will not find enough money.”

He concluded: “I hope that Mohamed Salah will one day move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, but I think that the current difficult economic situation of the two teams makes it difficult to reach an agreement in the current period.”
