Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the Al-Ahly player, spoke about winning the African Champions League championship after beating rival team Zamalek by two goals to one on Friday.
Kahraba said in remarks on “Al-Ahly” screen today Saturday: “In my first season, it is true, I did not play many games, but our Lord awarded me two championships in a short period of time.”
On his exposure to the infection with the Coronavirus, he replied: “Al-Ahly is not affected by the absences after being infected with the Corona virus, but he expected to be in the final and I spoke with the doctors of the world to return.”
Regarding his greeting to Mahmoud Al-Khatib on the podium, he said: “Al-Khatib is a legend. He is like my father and he deserves to be greeted by everyone because he is a legend.”
Kahraba ended her talk about participating in the Club World Cup: “My life’s dream was to go back to my family and participate in the Club World Cup, especially since I was following the team in the morning during their participation in Japan.”
Al-Ahly will participate in the Club World Cup, which will be organized by Qatar next February, where it will be the sixth participation in the World Cup for the red team.
It’s worth noting that Al-Ahly now own nine African Champions League titles, to be alone at the top, four more than the Congolese duo, Zamalek and Mazembe.
