Juan Laporta returned to the presidency of Barcelona, ​​after winning the elections that were held throughout Saturday, in which he was challenged by Víctor Font and Tony Frixa.

According to the Barça club, Laporta got 54.28% of the electoral votes, compared to 29.99% for Víctor Font, while Tony Frixa was third with 8.58% of the votes.

Laporta obtained 30,184 votes in the elections, against Font, who obtained 16,679 votes, then Frixa ranked third with 4,769 votes.

After winning the elections, Laporta said that “these elections have been managed in the best possible way, and I send my warmest greetings to the head of his administration, Carles Tusquets.”

Tony Frixa congratulated Juan Laporte, in statements reported by Mundo Deportivo, where he said: “I congratulate President Laporta with this victory. We will support him with everything we have, as we have done before. There will be no ceiling for our ambition.”

For his part, Víctor Font said on Radio Catalonia: “I congratulate Juan Laporta, it is a wonderful victory. I also congratulate Fresca for running for the elections with great integrity. The situation within the club is complicated, but we are going to unite.” “

Juan Laporta had led Barcelona from the presidential chair from June 2003 to the same month of 2010, before leaving office in favor of Alexandre Roussel and then Josep Maria Bartomeu.
