Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announced his resignation from his position and the appointment of Andy Gacy, the new CEO of the giant Amazon.
The company, “Amazon,” announced early Tuesday that Jeff Bezos will step down as CEO of the company and will be replaced by Andy Gacy.
In an email to employees, Bezos said, “Amazonicos, I am pleased to announce that, beginning in the third quarter of this year, I will move to the position of CEO of Amazon’s Board of Directors and Andy Gacy will become CEO.”
“With the new position, I intend to focus my energies and interest on new products and early initiatives … Andy is well known within the company and has been working for it for a long time,” he added.

Andy Gacy joined Amazon in 1997 after joining Harvard Business School, worked as a technical advisor to Bezos and was able to participate in all senior executive meetings and advise on issues related to Amazon management.
Andy Gacy established the Internet services division at Amazon since 2003 and was an influential player in it. It is the highest division of “Amaron” in terms of revenue or profit, with an estimated annual turnover of more than $ 40 billion in income.
Andy Gacy, also responsible for more than 60% of Amazon’s profits, despite his sales amounting to only 13%, as Amazon owns more than 30% of the market share.
He served as a director of Amazon Web Services and is arguably one of the most important people in the technology industry for the past ten years, according to Bloomberg.
