The Ministry of Public Commerce said that in reference to the decision of the General Assembly of the Egyptian Iron and Steel Company – a subsidiary of the Metal Industries Holding, one of the companies of the Ministry of the Business Public Sector – dated 1/11 / 2021 in connection with the liquidation of the Iron and Steel Company; Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Business Public Sector, indicated that the first priority for the ministry and the holding company is the rights and earnings of the workers and giving them all the rights that are legally guaranteed.

The Ministry indicated, in a statement, that the workers’ compensation will be gratifying, and will not be less than 225 thousand pounds for each worker of the company, in addition to that the companies affiliated to the Metal Holding Company are in dire need of some specialized knowledge meet your needs, and that the first priority is to seek the help of experts. The technical and marketing presence among the employees of the Egyptian Iron and Steel Company, and that the files of those experiences and their names are available to the Holding Company for assistance in its subsidiaries.

In the same context, the statement indicated that Eng. Muhammad Al-Saadawi, president of the Holding Company for Metal Industries, visited the Iron and Steel Company on Thursday 1/21/2021 to inspect the conditions of the company’s employees.
