Alaa Wahid, the official spokesperson for the Ismaili club, revealed his position on the inclusion of Al-Ahly players.
Ismaily has the right to borrow players from Al-Ahly according to the offer concluded between the two clubs in the transfer of Mahmoud Metwally.
“We have the right to borrow players from Al-Ahly, but the latter told us that we must negotiate with them to convince them,” Waheed said in televised remarks about Al-Nahar.
He continued: “We negotiated with two Al-Ahly players, but they grew against the club and against Ali as well, for various reasons.”
He stressed: “Ismaily is currently negotiating with some players from Al-Ahly and Zamalek.”
When asked about the validity of the news circulating about the Ismaili wish to borrow from Senegalese Alio Badji, Al-Ahly forward, he replied: “I don’t know anything about this information.”
He referred to the contracts of Baher Al-Muhammadi and Abdel-Rahman Magdy, the team’s players, and explained: “Al-Muhammadi has a contract that spans 3 years, and Abdel-Rahman Magdy continues for five and a half seasons in the ranks of Darwish. “
Regarding the deals Ismaily recently included, he noted: “The club formed a strong recruiting committee and concluded distinguished deals, and the team is on the right track after the end of the disastrous season.”
He added: “The new contracts were due to the desire of the players to join the team. I assure the fans that all three are buying and selling deals, not assignments.”
He continued: “We have included Ari Babel and he is very happy with his transfer to Ismaili, and confirmed that the dervishes will be a gateway to his professionalism in the biggest European clubs.”
He concluded: “We also announced the union of Ahmed Mustafa and Radwan Sharifi, and there are other players, all of whom have contracts and are not on loan.”
