Major General Jamal Awad, head of the National Social Security Authority, announced that as of the first Sunday in November, November pension payments will begin to approximately 10.5 million pensioners and beneficiaries with a total cost of 18 billion pounds, according to a statement from the Ministry of Solidarity Thursday.

Awad said that the disbursement of pensions to ATMs through the authority and points of sale, which amounted to 6.5 million citizens, will be divided into three segments, similar to what was done in previous months, as a continuation of the implementation of the state plan to facilitate pensioners, ensure their safety and face the challenge of the Coronavirus.

He added that the disbursement plan includes the disbursement of the first tranche, which amounted to 2.4 million, which are disbursed on Sundays and Monday corresponding to the first and second of the month, and the disbursement of the second tranche, which amounted to about 2, 4 million, is disbursed on Tuesday and Wednesday corresponding to November 3 and 4.

The third tranche of 1.7 million ATMs will be available for redemption starting Thursday, November 5, according to Jamal Awad.

All pensioners and beneficiaries who have ATM cards will be able to disburse their pensions from ATMs distributed to the public from the first day of November, according to the statement.

Awad emphasized that within the framework of the state plan to achieve financial inclusion and facilitate pensioners, it was arranged that representatives of the banks were present at the points of change of authority so that the pensioner and the beneficiary could obtain a benefit card while performing the disbursement process, provided that it is activated and disbursed through it from the following month.

He pointed out that these cards allow their user to buy and pay all government fees, as well as all the banking services that the bank produces, such as credit operations.
