On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 318 people recovering from the coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of who have recovered from the virus to 105,450 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 523 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and an examination that the ministry carries out according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 23 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 122,609 cases, including 105,450 cured cases and 6,966 deaths.
