Today Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 900 recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 78,108 cases have recovered from the virus to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 151 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 19 new cases.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health registered 130 new cases and 16 deaths.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid stated that the total number that has been registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of today, Sunday, is 99,863 cases, including 78,108 cured cases and 5,530 deaths.
