The list included procedures to authorize the circulation of foreign publications in the country in accordance with the text of Article 4 of Law No. 180 of 2018, license procedures for satellite (cable) distribution companies, broadcasting companies to and from from Egypt, content transport companies, encrypted space and digital platforms, and procurement procedures Install and operate satellite stations and through the international information network (Internet), and the procedures for the approval of the council to import or produce receivers or audio and video transmission decoders (the decoder includes all audio or video transmission and decoding receivers, IPTV and the like).
The Council states that with the issuance of these regulations following the issuance of Prime Minister Decision No. 418 of 2020 regarding the issuance of the executive regulations of Act No. 180 of 2018 last February, the Supreme Council to the Media Regulation has completed the legislative structure to obtain the licenses that the legislator has entrusted to the broadcast.
