Dr. Khaled Qassem indicated that all Egyptian building-related codes will apply, be it for garages or building systems, and for buildings, reinforced concrete and others.

He explained: In case of non-compliance, you will not be granted permission to proceed to the next stage, except after correcting the conflicting conditions, and we are now working to finalize the new licenses, and they will be implemented after the end of the specified 6-month period by the ministry to stop any construction in the Cairo and Giza governorates. The Ministry of Local Development had previously announced that the new building licenses include a clause that allows the government to immediately confiscate the building in case of violation and not adhere to the license and its application without resorting to a court ruling.
