According to a statement issued by the Bahraini Parliament, it said that it was following with great interest and great concern the continuation of the Qatari regime, through the patrols of the Qatar Coast Guard, violating the rights of Bahraini fishermen and sailors, persecuting their arrest, cutting off their livelihoods and the sources of their properties, while practicing the profession of fishing in different areas of the waters. It expressed its categorical rejection and denunciation of the arbitrary treatment and behavior rejected by the patrols of the Qatar Coast Guard, which are contrary to all values ​​and principles of human rights, customs, traditions and customs, brotherhood and good neighborly relations between the peoples. del Golfo, and a flagrant violation of the Fundamental Law of the Cooperation Council.

It expressed its regret for the continuation of these shameful behaviors, in violation of international conventions, violation of human principles and basic freedoms, the right to life, the right to personal security, the right to work and freedom of movement. within the territorial borders of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which were guaranteed by international covenants on human rights.

In its statement, the Council noted that due to these transgressions, it is not recommended to reconcile with the State of Qatar, before resolving these issues through negotiation, and until things return to normal, in order to preserve the rights of fishermen.
