The Minister of Health and Population spoke about the position of the “Pfizer” vaccine, which depends on the use of mRN technology. Dr. Hala Zayed also noted that the two companies that produce vaccines were later announced that they would make an effort; To broaden its experience in the United States to include 43 thousand participants, and in fact the two companies obtained permission to begin testing the vaccine in children as young as 12 years old, and on November 8, promising results were achieved after analyzing the results of the first 94 cases of Covid-19 in the experiment, noting that currently, Pfizer is expected to apply for an emergency use permit.
The Minister of Health said: It is necessary to define the objectives of the vaccination strategy, and consequently the population groups are ordered according to the priority of obtaining limited supplies of the vaccine in the first phase of its availability, in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, and the organization also suggested, according to the Minister, that countries give priority to populations at risk, first providing them with available vaccines and then providing them to other population groups.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the agreement reached with the International Alliance for Vaccines and Vaccines (GAVI) was noted that Egypt would obtain 20 million doses of vaccines that will achieve emergency approval from the World Health Organization, provided that give specific priority, which includes the most vulnerable people.
