I wrote – Yasmine El-Sharkawy:
The poet Antar Hilal attacked the artist Ahmed Makki, for the song “Tamli Al-Subh Badri”, presented by Makki in the facts of his film “Tair Int” in 2009, which originally belonged to him, confirming that the latter was infringing the rights of copyright.
And Hilal posted a video clip of her song, which was shown in the 1988 play “Nisreen, the Game Maker,” starring the artist, Mu’tazila Nisreen at the time, and commented on the video, saying, “If you’re Ahmed Makki , I am Antar Hilal, the poet whose song you took together alone in green. And Al-Hawa, illegally, and I downloaded it in the movie “Bird You.”
He added: “I want the financial return for that. I spoke with Issad Yunus and told him that he took all the money. I don’t want to escalate the issue in the direction of the press, the courts, the authors association, the right of execution and intellectual property … Just give me my right and I give you a legal waiver and the problem is over. “
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Hilal has spoken about the prosecution of “Makki”, as he had previously said in statements to “Masrawy”, in November last year, that he would not give up his legal right to sue Makki, highlighting that the aforementioned song is one of his words and composed Sami Morcos is currently emigrating in Australia, and was surprised by his presentation of the film without his permission to exploit it.
Hilal confirmed that he started the search for friendly solutions, but it was not successful – as he himself said.
The film “You Bird” was screened for the first time in 2009, starring Ahmed Makki, Donia Samir Ghanem, Majid Al Kadwani, Lotfi Labib, Hisham Ismail and Muhammad Salam, written by Omar Taher and directed by Ahmed El Gendy.
Antar Hilal is a lyrical poet who wrote for many singers, the most prominent are: Mohamed Fouad, Hamid Al-Shairi, Hisham Abbas and Hamada Hilal, and is the author of the famous song “Kamenna” sung by the artist Mohamed Fouad in the film “Ismailia Rayeh Jay”.
