Books – Muhammad Hammam:
Sherif Ikrami, former Al-Ahly goalkeeper and new member of Pyramids, responded to the possible departure of Swiss coach Rene Fyler, coach of the Red Team, saying: “I am a professional player and I am currently in Pyramids.”
Ikrami added in comments on “Ontime Sports 2” screen Sunday night: “I am a professional player with Pyramids, but Al-Ahly does not represent a player or coach.”
He continued: “I can’t talk more than that and go into details.”
The Al-Ahly club issued a statement last Friday, revealing that the fate of coach René Fyler was decided on the first of October next, whether to continue or leave.
And on his departure from Al-Ahly for Pyramids, he revealed: “After announcing my departure from Al-Ahly, I received offers from the Saudi League midfield clubs, and Pyramids contacted me after my decision to leave.”
He continued: “I decided to leave the pyramids because it is an ambitious club and it has a project. Pyramids has the technical resources as well as having international players.”
He continued: “My relationship with Al-Ahly is great despite what happened in the last two months with the club, and I don’t want to place Al-Ahly in comparison to other clubs.”
He concluded: “I am not ashamed to admit mistakes, and after my statements on social networks it was necessary to speak because I do not know silence.”
It is worth noting that Ikrami recently moved into the Pyramids ranks, to be the third deal after duo Ahmed Fathy and Ramadan Sobhi.
