The media outlet Ahmed Schubert, former vice president of the Egyptian Football Association, launched a resounding surprise at the disappearance of the version of the African Cup of Nations from the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association.
The Egyptian team won the African Nations Championship in 2006, 2008 and 2010 under the leadership of legendary coach Hassan Shehata, for the pharaohs to keep the cup for life and preserve it within the headquarters of the Football Association.
Schubert said on his “On Time Sport” program that the Football Association intended to place the cup in a prominent place equipped to display the tournaments won by the Egyptian team. Stores were searched for a copy of the cup, but it was found missing.

Schubert kept surprising him by saying that no one knew where the championship trophy was and if it had been lost or stolen.
It is known that the Egyptian team is the most African team that won the African Cup of Nations in the years 1957-1959-1986-1998-2006-2008-2010, while it finished second in the years 1962-2017.
Egypt previously qualified for the World Cup 3 times in the years 1934-1990-2018, while they won the Arab Cup once in 1992.
The reports had revealed the arrival of a letter from the International Federation of Football Associations indicating that FIFA elections would be held to elect a new board of directors for a period of 4 years, before November 30 next, the lack of renewal five-year committee for a new term, and be satisfied with the last four months.
