President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Monday with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, advisor to the President of the Republic for urban planning, General Staff Harb Ihab Al-Far, Chairman of the Forces Engineering Authority Armed Forces, Major General Khaled Mubarak, Deputy Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority for Projects, and Brigadier Abdulaziz Al-Fiqi Led by Military Engineers.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the meeting dealt with the follow-up of the efforts of the Engineering Authority in a series of national projects at the Republic level.

The President ordered the immediate start of construction of 3,300 additional new homes under the national project “Housing for all Egyptians”, as an extension of the “Ahalina” series of residential communities, in the General Orabi axis area.

The spokesperson explained that at the meeting the president was informed of the plan to establish the international bus station in an area of ​​300 acres, which will represent an integrated and modern center for transportation of all kinds, and will include shopping centers, a service area integrated, fuel stations, administrative buildings and entertainment facilities, and it is the station that will be linked to the Cairo International Airport. , Since it is located directly next to it at the intersection of the Suez road with the ring road, which will facilitate the movement of citizens and travelers to and from all parts of the governorates and cities of the Republic through that station.

In the same context, the development of the eastern entrance to Cairo on the Cairo / Ismailia desert highway and the Gisr al-Suez area, as well as the Cairo / Suez desert highway and the link with communities was reviewed. surrounding urban areas, as well as a group of roads and a series of bridges integrated into the axes of the East Cairo area.

The meeting also witnessed a review of the executive position of the ongoing construction works at various of the facilities and facilities of the New Administrative Capital, especially the Islamic Cultural Center, the Egyptian Mosque, the People’s Square and the monument. , as well as a review of the efforts to connect the axes and roads of the new administrative capital to all the neighborhoods and sectors of Greater Cairo, as well as the executive position of the central bus station within the capital.

The meeting also addressed the construction and implementation situation of the city of Al-Jalalah with its various components, including the Al-Jalalah Teaching Hospital and the monument, as well as reviewing the workflow of several new private universities throughout the republic. .
