Hosam Hassan, the former Pyramids technical director, confirmed his desire to take over the technical leadership of the Al-Ahly Club, stressing that he is qualified to be among the nominations.

Hossam Hassan said in his interview with “On Time Sports”: “I hope to assume the leadership of Al-Ahly, but I am not looking for him, there are those who say that I am trying to get closer, but I did not do that and I do not want to be like that.”

He added: “It is the opinion of the critics that qualifies me for this position, is it my right or not? I cannot say this and my work is the one that talks about me, I found it during my training career and there is no support more important than that of our Lord. “

He continued: “There may be hands that don’t want to take over Al-Ahly’s training, but let’s talk about this with the fans, whether we’re talking about training Al-Ahly or the Egypt national team, the fans are the key because is the foundation of the football game. “

He continued: “I want to know the criteria for choosing the coaches in Al-Ahly and the Egyptian team, certainly anyone who wants to train Al-Ahly, but I’m not looking for them.”

He emphasized: “If I evaluate myself as a technical manager, I have achieved successes with Al-Masry, Jordan and Zamalek, and good results in difficult circumstances with clubs less than Al-Ahly and Zamalek, does all of this qualify me or not?”

“When I am compared to the coaches who take the technical leadership, am I younger than them or older or not in shape? What prevents me from training Al Ahly? We have the right and I consider myself qualified to be among the nominations.”
