Council Olympic Committee
The Arbitration and Arbitration Center of the Egyptian Olympic Committee decided to take up the lawsuit brought by Mamdouh Abbas, former president of the Zamalek Club, to revoke the club’s list for trial in a session on October 28.
The decision was made after a session that began this morning and was attended by the Zamalek Club legal team, represented by Mahmoud Khaled, the director of the club’s legal department, in front of Mamdouh Abbas’s legal team, and likewise Dr. Kamal Shuaib, and the substantive part of the case was discussed, since the settlement center had ruled that the list was null. Urgent reference thus to falsified.
A source from Abbas’s legal team stated that the Settlement Center had previously ruled the invalidation of the list after it became clear to the legal body that the approved regulation published in the Official Gazette is not the same as the list that was presented to the General Assembly, for the club president to list a ruling issued in December 2018 by the Administrative Court. That the General Assembly is the holder of the inherent right to act with the Council, while the list was approved in August of the same year, that is, four months before it, which was considered by the Center for Arbitration and Arbitration as a forgery. that invalidated the regulation.
On the other hand, today’s session saw clashes between supporters of the Zamalek president, who was isolated by the Olympic Committee, and supporters of Mamdouh Abbas, after some attempted to attack Kamal Shuaib, Abbas’s lawyer, before that important escaped, and the compromise was resolved.
It should be noted that a crisis arose before the start of the session after the Zamalek legal team entered into a discussion with the security of the Olympic Committee, due to the entry of a large number of lawyers with the Zamalek legal team, which was objected by officials of the Olympic Committee, and only two entered the session room.
