Al-Ahly and pyramids
Al-Ahly presented a gift to his traditional rival Zamalek on a gold plate, and kept it on the league title after he drew negatively against Pyramids during the match, which brought them together at the Cairo Stadium in the 33rd matchday of the Egyptian League.
The tie lifted Al-Ahly’s balance to 86, atop the Egyptian League, while Pyramids raised his account to 64.
Zamalek is in second place with 65 points, and tomorrow he still has a game left against the border guards, knowing that the white knight will have 3 points deducted at the end of the league.
Al-Ahly squandered the opportunity to score the first goal through Hussein Al-Shahat, after he was left alone in goal in the 6th minute of the match, after Aliou Dieng pulled the ball in the center of the stadium and began with him to play it in depth towards the initial band that shot him, but Mahdi Suleiman faced him.

Ali Lotfy’s left goal post was blocked after a strong shot from Ibrahim Hassan in the 55th minute of the game, after he led a ball with his left from outside the penalty area.
In the 64th minute, Ajay’s shot from outside the penalty area hit the Pyramids defense.
In the 70th minute, Hussein Al Shahat shot from outside the penalty area, hitting the defense line and Sahla hit the Pyramids goalkeeper.
In the 73rd minute, Aliou Diang started from midfield, then reached the limits of the penalty area and struck a powerful ball that was stopped by Mahdi Suleiman.

In the 76th minute, Qafsha fired a powerful ball from outside the box that hit the right post and rebounded for Ahmed Fathy, who sent a cross but was cleared by Mahdi Suleiman.
In the 88th minute, Dudu El Gabas missed an investigator’s goal after a perfect header from goalkeeper Ali Lotfy’s right post.
Pyramids pressed in the closing minutes to score the winning goal, pouncing on second place, but all their attempts were unsuccessful.
