A source from the Zamalek club revealed that Ahmed Mortada, a member of the club’s board of directors, yesterday collected his personal belongings from his office at the club, without notifying anyone at the club of his decision.

Yesterday, Wednesday, club workers and employees were surprised that the son of the isolated club president came to the club and collected all his personal belongings from his office at the club, and he refused to reveal the reason to any of them.

This step came a few hours after the Olympic Committee’s Refereeing and Arbitration Center decided to invalidate the Zamalek Club list, which was adopted in 2018 and according to which Ahmed Mortada, a member of the Board of Directors, was elected. For Zamalek Club.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports subsequently announced that the decision to invalidate the rule is not final, that the decision will be appealed and its implementation or not will be based on the outcome of the appeal.

In case the decision to annul the general assembly is implemented, the members of Ahmed Murtado, Hamada Anwar and Ahmed Adel Abdel Fattah, who were elected as members of the Council, will be removed from the by-elections held on the basis of the list of “canceled”. Dr. Ashraf Zaki also went with them as treasurer before apologizing for personal reasons. .

Hani Al-Atal will also return to his position as vice chairman of the board of directors after being elected in 2017, and with him also Dr. Abdullah George as a member of the board of directors, but they were prevented from exercising their work until a general assembly and the president of the removed club dropped their membership and removed them from the board based on the newly approved list. The Arbitration and Arbitration Center is annulled.

Al-Attal issued a statement yesterday confirming its gratitude to the Judiciary, represented by the Center for Settlement and Arbitration, after showing the truth about the nullity of the list that was excluded from the club as a result, and demanding the Minister of Youth and Sports that implement the decision.

Blows on the son of “Mortada” are repeated

The possibility of Ahmed Mortada leaving the Zamalek club comes as his second blow within a week after his fall in the House elections of the constituencies of Giza, Dokki and Agouza, and his failure to even compete in the second round after finishing in fifth place among the competitors, far from the leaders of the electoral race.
