A source within the Zamalek club’s board of directors revealed the White Castle’s position on the decision of the International Federation “FIFA” to suspend the punishment of Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba, the current Al-Ahly player.
The source highlighted, during his private statements to “Al-Watan Sport”, that Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba recently filed an appeal and a formal appeal against his punishment previously approved by the Dispute Settlement Committee, and therefore the decision to freeze the sentence and the club’s lawyer informed us of that for a time.
The source indicated that Zamalek also filed an appeal against the ruling, for not considering many of the complaints that were presented within the player’s file.
He added: “Another surprise is being prepared for the player at the moment, by delivering other documents to FIFA that will increase the penalty.”
FIFA officially notifies Zamalek to stop Kahraba penalty
FIFA has stopped the fine imposed on Al-Ahly Mahmoud player Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, estimated at 2 million dollars.
Mahmoud Kahraba appealed against the decision issued by the International Federation to fine the player financially, noting that his contract with Zamalek had expired before his departure to the Portuguese League.
FIFA sent a letter to stop the sanction of Kahraba to the Zamalek club, which reads as follows: “We refer to the aforementioned order, in addition to the decision issued by the Dispute Resolution Chamber on August 13 to our correspondence from Mr. Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba and the Portuguese club Alavés, and according to what they both asked for reasons. Resolution, include a copy of this type of correspondence only for the informative parts.
