“Health”: We surpassed 100,000 cases of Coronavirus (details)

Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 900 recovered from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 79,008 cases have recovered from the virus to date.

Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 178 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 11 new cases.

Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 100041 cases, including 79008 cured cases and 5541 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the governorates of the Republic, follows first-hand the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Egypt Health” application available on phones.
