The webinar was chaired by Dr. Hussam Hosni, Chairman of the Committee to Combat the Novel Corona Virus, and Dr. Ihab Kamal, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Professional Medical Education Affairs, in the presence of members of the Scientific Committee for Combat Coronavirus, Princess Fatima Academy for Professional Medical Education.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesperson for the Ministry, stated that during the webinar the Egyptian experience with the Coronavirus pandemic was reviewed, and the treatment protocols for patients with the coronavirus emerging from the beginning of the pandemic until reaching the fourth version of the protocol, where the update of the protocol includes adoption. He added that during the webinar, Egypt’s efforts to provide a safe and effective vaccine for the emerging corona virus were presented, through Egypt’s participation with countries around the world in clinical trials of the emerging corona virus, as part of a package of research in the clinical trial in its third phase of the vaccine against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19). ) “For Humanity” in cooperation with the Chinese government and UAE G42 Healthcare Corporation, and Egypt obtained the first shipments of the coronavirus vaccine produced by the Chinese company (Sinopharm) from the United Arab Emirates, in addition to cooperation with the organization “Jaffe” through an initiative. For his part, Dr. Hussam Hosni, president of the Scientific Committee to Cope with Coronavirus, during his speech at the opening session of the Webinar, welcomed the cooperation with the Sudanese side to confront the emerging Corona virus, by transferring the Egyptian experiences to medical teams in the state of Sudan and the updated treatment protocols to benefit from them, noting The treatment protocol for the emerging corona virus is standardized and used in all hospitals, and its aim is to achieve the best results in the treating people with the virus, and has also been shown to be effective in increasing the cure rates of coronavirus cases in Egypt.
